"I Was Alone And Scared"

Jennie has been fighting a drug addiction ever since she was a teenager. "I felt like I was in prison. I was alone, scared and unwanted. I was crying out for help." When Jennie was finally arrested for drug possession and sent to jail, she knew in her heart she had to change her life. "I knew the only thing that could help me was Jesus Christ. By the grace of God, I got into the Christian Life Training Program at the Bakersfield Rescue Mission."

"My mom passed away when I was 9 or 10. My dad's in prison for 15 years. My grandpa raised me until I graduated from high school, then he passed away. For the last four years it’s been really tough. I used drugs to ease the hurt. But I knew in my heart that if I didn't stop, I was going to end up killing myself." More >>
