I will start off with, God is good all the time, his blessings are quite similar to his mercy and grace as his blessings also endure forever. We never realize or know what will be in store for tomorrow, or if there will even be a tomorrow as we know it today. What we do know and what I have truly seen is the love in action here at the Bakersfield Rescue Mission on a day to day, hour by hour, minute by minute commitment from staff who are genuinely concerned for the well being of each and every guest who resides here, along with their endless desire to help those who are perhaps just passing by and in need of a word of encouragement and prayer. There is no greater joy than to know that you have said and done all that the Lord would have you say or do when it comes to lifting up your fellow man. Romans 3:23 tells us that “all have sinned and fall short the glory of God”. As a Chaplain at the Bakersfield Rescue Mission, I am humbled and honored to be in his service with a body of workers who continue to reach out to the lost, lonely, hungry and tired. A body of workers who step out in faith working for today in helping others as if there is no tomorrow. What a blessing!!!!!
