The Development Department is responsible for raising funds to support the Bakersfield Rescue Mission by creating and implementing fundraisers throughout the year.

  The department coordinates volunteers, donation opportunities, and tours of the Mission.  Development provides speakers for businesses, schools, individual guests, and events.

  The Mission newsletter is produced by this department.  The quarterly newsletter provides information about events at the Mission, stories of individual guests, and much more.

  Development also works closely with local media to inform the community about homelessness and the services provided by the Bakersfield Rescue Mission.
