The Bakersfield Rescue Mission provides safe and secure shelter for the homeless community in the Homeless Intervention Services Center.  We provide shelter from the elements for men and women and children, in addition to daily showers, laundry facilities, clothing, and safe overnight housing for men.  Nutritious meals are served three times a day, every day of the year, to the homeless and housing vulnerable.

Case management and counseling services provide our guests with financial assistance, housing and employment opportunities, and referrals to other agencies in our community.

Homeless Intervention Services' ultimate goal is to provide the best possible opportunities for our guests to achieve and maintain the highest possible level of independent living.
