The women’s ministry of Sonrise Church of God brought “Christmas in July” to the Bakersfield Rescue Mission. Seven ladies from Sonrise Church of God visited our Chapel Service on Wednesday, July 28th. After a tour of the Mission grounds, the ladies paid a special visit to the women of the Christian Life Training Program.

The Sonrise women’s ministry laid a Christmas package on each one of the women’s beds. Brightly wrapped shoe boxes contained complete hygiene kits. Each present was filled with shampoo, combs, brushes, feminine products, soap, and other items.

We are so grateful for each and every donation we receive at the Bakersfield Rescue Mission. We cannot meet the needs of our guests without the community’s help. Thank you, Sonrise Church of God, for your generosity and bringing “Christmas in July” to our ladies.
