Christmas Wishes

There are many needs at the Bakersfield Rescue Mission each day of the year. From hygiene items to food items, towels to clothing, our needs are great. Our focus all year long is to meet the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of more than 300 guests who come to us daily. For one day a year, we want to try to fulfill the Christmas wishes of our guests.

You can make the wishes of our guests come true! The following are Christmas wish lists from the different departments of the Mission. As you will see, every wish is obtainable. Please partner with us. Your reward will be great. You will not only meet a material wish of one of our guests, but you will also show our guests they do have value and others care about them.


Making a wish come true is simple!

  1. Check out the Wish Lists below.
  2. Purchase items. Many items can be found at dollar stores or department stores. Don’t forget to keep your receipts as all donations are tax deductible!
  3. Items can be brought to the Administration Office at 212-21st Street, Bakersfield CA 93301. (Off of Union Ave.) Don’t forget to get a receipt for your records!

There are more than 220 guests staying in the Homeless Intervention Services
Center each night. Many of these items can be found at dollar or discount stores, even phone cards!

There are more than 100 children involved in the Mission’s youth outreach program.
