“Christmas Wonder”

After a short hiatus Lynda Stoess has returned to the Bakersfield Rescue Mission with many fresh ideas. Among the first of her “fresh ideas” will be an evening at “Christmas Wonder” on Thursday, December 13th. In joint collaboration with Christ’s Church Of the Valley, who will host the event each year, the Bakersfield Rescue Mission will be offering an evening at “Christmas Wonder” which will include a catered dinner and an opportunity to enjoy the “Forest of Lights”, the "Madrigal Singers", and a wonderful art exhibit by local artisans echoing the theme of the “Very First Christmas”.

The “Forest of Lights are “thirty trees decorated with nearly 50,000 lights surrounding you on all sides and which dance to thrilling music in a dazzling display”. The work at the art exhibit will be on sale with 15% of the proceeds going to the Mission.

This would be a wonderful way to spend an evening with those you care for during the Christmas season while at the same time supporting the Bakersfield Rescue Mission. Tickets will go on sale in September and with only 112 seats available getting your tickets early might be a good idea.
